By train
The closest station is Copplestone. You can reach Copplestone from Exeter St. David's on the Barnstaple train once an hour. The 10.27 train from Exeter St David's arrives at 10.49 on the morning of the funeral.
North Tawton is a 15 minute drive from Copplestone. There are no taxis at Copplestone station so you will need to book one in advance. We have put together a list of local taxi firms you can call - we recommend you call them in advance to make sure. You might not have mobile phone coverage in Copplestone!
By car
Update: We have found places to park in North Tawton so if you prefer to drive straight to the church, this is now possible. Please park on Essington Road (Google Maps link here) if there is no space in the town square by the church.
Make your way to Exeter (by the M5 or A303) and take the A30 towards Okehampton. After 16 miles, take the Whiddon Down exit onto the A328 (signposted for Moretonhampstead and Winkleigh), and turn right straightaway onto the A3124 towards Winkleigh.
For North Tawton, carry straight on on the A3124 for 5 miles, and the church is on your right. Turn right down Market Street which becomes Essington Road, and you can park on the street.
